Vendor Inspection
The inspection of clients’ goods at the point of manufacture or supply. Whether a one-off item or part of a larger project, vendor inspection is crucial in assuring the reduction of risk, delay and project overrun costs. A 1% failure in manufacturing, construction or transport, can result in up to 25% project overrun, repair or delivery penalties.
Vendor inspection may be carried out on an part time basis or with full time residential inspectors. The task is to ensure the items under inspection conform to the client’s purchase requirements. Ensuring an appropriately qualified and competent inspector is allocated to the assignment is one of the most challenging tasks for an Inspection Coordinator. At AIS we have implemented a rigorous system of selection, including discipline specific competence examinations which are carried out on a regular basis.
The assignment can vary depending upon on the stage of manufacture. From material selection to documentation reviews and all the way to final inspection before release. Final certification of the clients’ goods requires that they are not only fit for purpose, but also conform to local and international standards. Vendor inspection, if carried out correctly, can severely reduce the client’s costs and project overrun delays.

Pipe Mill Inspection
Pipe mill inspections require personnel with a sound knowledge of material technology. From raw material inspection & selection through the whole manufacturing process, final inspection and expediting, we are here to assist our customers in assuring the right product for the application.
AIS can provide Pipe Mill surveillance services to our clients and provide assurance that the steel ordered complies with the required specifications, in country legislation and the client’s requirements. Workshop Fabrication Inspection
Arch Inspection Services Ltd can supply inspection personnel for all processes involved in workshop fabrication activities. From incoming material inspections, electrical factory acceptance test, weld procedure qualifications, mechanical inspections, cutting, welding inspection, to safety and environmental examination and final release.
